Notice here that it is best to position the main menu items with the most sub items to the left so as to leave room for them to appear in the more or natural space between the main horizontal menu strip and the content. This will not suit all web pages - of course. But considering that anything that tends to curb the tendency of people to make confusing and overlong menus, it might be considered quite a good thing?
